Ashley & David’s Wedding at the Pharmacy Museum & Acme Oyster House

After some getting ready shots at the Hotel Saint Marie, we made our way to the Pharmacy Museum, where Ashley and David were to have their wedding ceremony.  But before that, they had a first look, and David’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride was priceless.  We then did some portraits of the couple, and also got most of our family and bridal party group shots completed.  There was some rain in the area, and a thunderstorm had in fact just passed through right before we did the first look.  There was a small tent set up in the rear of the courtyard just in case, but it actually ended up not being needed… the large area of rain that was showing up on radar heading right for us somehow fizzled out, and I was relieved and thrilled to see the skies clear up for this wonderful couple!  Their processional was fantastic… the family and wedding party members playfully danced up the aisle (in the photograph below, David and his parents were doing the chicken dance, in case you were wondering, and Ashley and her dad danced to Happy).  During the beautiful ceremony, they had each written their own vows, which were amazing… people were asking the couple to email them a copy later so they could read the vows again when they got back home.  A second line parade through the French Quarter led by the Young Pin-Stripe Brass Band followed, ending up at the world-famous Acme Oyster House for the reception.
