Amy & Jeff’s wedding took place on a beautiful New Orleans sunny January day that could not have been any better. We started out shooting in City Park, where we the couple shared a first look, and we got most of the formal group portraits done at this time as well, which meant less to do before the reception. We then headed to St. Dominic on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview for the ceremony, where the gorgeous daylight streaming in through the windows made for very nice lighting to work with. The reception took place at Champagne Palace in Elmwood. The couple’s wedding cake was gorgeous, and that meticulously rendered bag was the groom’s cake… the particular bag it was modeled after is very closely identified with Jeff, as he takes it everywhere! At the end of the day, everyone took part in a second line around the venue (but waving glow sticks instead of napkins!), then gave the couple a great send-off to the waiting Mercedes convertible.
