This Texas couple ducked into Fritzel's European Jazz Pub on Bourbon Street for a drink during our engagement portrait session in the French Quarter.
Their wedding photography package included both an engagement portrait and a bridal portrait session. But because they would not be doing a bridal portrait in New Orleans, they decided to instead opt for a double engagement portrait session, lasting for about two hours instead of the usual one hour, and consisting of two locations (City Park, and the French Quarter), with an outfit change between the two.
Because this was a morning portrait session, I opted to begin in City Park, since the better light closer to sunrise would of better use in the more open areas of the park... this is not as critical of a factor when shooting in the French Quarter, as the buildings give us shady areas of good light to work with.
We also grabbed some shots of the couple enjoying beignets at Cafe Du Monde, before heading off to the second half of our session in the French Quarter.
