This portrait was from a session I did in conjunction with a New Orleans advertising agency, which was working with an entrepreneur to promote the student sports oriented website he was in the process of launching.
Given the business he was in and the intended use of the photographs, we chose a public athletic field as the location, shooting in a variety of spots in and around the sports complex, such as this shot taken on a stairway of the bleachers. These settings gave much needed context to the images, which a simple gray background would not have provided.
