Henry Smith House Wedding Reception in Mississippi

This Mississippi couple's wedding took place at the Henry Smith House, a wonderful bed & breakfast and event venue in a rural area near the town of Picayune, MS. If you're looking for a cozy spot for a small to medium sized wedding, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, be sure to check out this venue!

The Henry Smith House features several different areas for your ceremony as well as a lovely outdoor event space for receptions, and provides on-site catering.

The couple brought in The Little Coffee Camper, a relatively new event business in the New Orleans area. These nice ladies bring their small customized and creatively repurposed 1970s camper, which is a completely self-contained mini coffee shop. While it's not uncommon for wedding venues to serve coffee during the reception, The Little Coffee Camper (and the company's other available option The Little Coffee Cart, for venues where the camper is not practical) offers a much wider variety of drinks to treat your guests to, such as lattes, teas, frappes, hot chocolate, lemonade, and regular coffee, and was a welcome addition on this chilly January evening! The Camper comes equipped with its own quiet generator, so it is not dependent on power from the venue, which gives more flexibility for where it can be placed.

The couple's love of playing games was incorporated into their wedding by having various oversized game stations set up for guests to play (such as connect four, checkers, and Jenga). Some very intense rounds of Jenga were on display late in the evening, such as this one that got so precariously high that the players (the best man and maid of honor) eventually had to stand on chairs to place the removed blocks on top.

Monopoly is the bride and groom's favorite game, and the cute display of Monopoly-themed cookies as wedding favors was a tribute to how the groom proposed, by hiding the ring among the game's various iconic cast-metal pieces.

Near the end of the night, the couple was given a festive sparkler send-off by their guests!
