Wedding at the Pharmacy Museum and Paris Room – Stacey & Sharrone

Stacey & Sharrone, a fabulous couple from Austin Texas, came to New Orleans with family and friends for a wonderful wedding celebration, which was coordinated by the ladies at Down Annie Lane.  We started out with a first look at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum in the French Quarter, where the ceremony was also to take place in the beautiful courtyard.  At the conclusion of the ceremony, the amazing Kinfolk Brass Band showed up and, in true New Orleans style, led everyone on a thrilling and festive second line parade through the French Quarter to the nearby Paris Room, where the wedding reception was to be held.  The Paris Room, located above Cafe Soule on Saint Louis St., is a great wedding venue for smaller events of 100 guests or so, and includes indoor and outdoor spaces.  The couple had a really neat idea, with an antique typewriter being used in place of a traditional guest book or signing mat.  Guests could wish the couple well by typing out their message, with varying degrees of accuracy (but that’s what made it so charming!).
