My last wedding of the year was a biggie… a very festive New Year’s Eve celebration with a genuinely sweet couple. Following the ceremony at the Second True Love Baptist Church in New Orleans, we headed to the Sheraton Hotel’s beautiful Armstrong Ballroom for a lavish reception. Later, The Next Generation Brass Band entertained as the final minutes of 2007 ticked away, and at midnight Yashica and Carlos got an excellent view of the fireworks show from the terrace.

St. John the Baptist is yet another old and beautiful New Orleans church. I was delighted to be able to grab a few shots from a loft that provided a view of the couple’s faces during the ceremony, a rarity for church weddings. A lively reception followed at the Sheraton Hotel’s spacious Armstrong Room.
