Nicole and Josh’s wedding took place at Vintage Court, a beautiful and scenic venue just north of Covington. I’d enjoyed working with them on their engagement portrait last year, and their wedding was lots of fun as well. Rev. John Zimmer officiated the emotional ceremony.

Amanda & Matt’s Wedding – Our Lady of the Lake & Annadele’s Plantation, Covington – 4/5/08

Amanda was one calmest, most relaxed brides I’d ever seen! After her and Matt exchanged vows at Mandeville’s Our Lady of the Lake church, it was off to the historic Annadele’s Plantation in Covington for the reception.

Many New Orleans area weddings feature amazing, creative groom’s cakes, and Matt’s cake was no exception, being in the form of a snare drum (Matt is a drummer in the Baton Rouge band Horseshoes & Handgrenades).

The night was capped off with a wonderful sparkler send-off!

Mary & Joe – Covington Presbyterian Church & Beau Chen Country Club, Covington – 4/21/07

As this church’s priest said, “How often does one get the opportunity to wed Mary and Joseph?” Covington Presbyterian is a smaller church, and the rich wood paneling throughout give it a very warm and cozy feel. The glorious sunlight streaming in through the stained glass windows provided very nice lighting, a rarity for church weddings. A reception followed at Beau Chen Country Club, during which Joe sat in with the band and gave a rousing performance of Mustang Sally!
