Daniella & Dan’s Wedding at Board of Trade | 11/19/11

This “Dantastic” wedding, expertly coordinated by Luminous Events, was so jam-packed full of great stuff that it made it very difficult to narrow down my picks for the blog post!  We started with a first look on the roof of the Monteleone, followed by a quick portrait session with the couple in the Quarter, then some fun shots of Dan and his groomsmen walking to Board of Trade.  There, Bee’s had crafted the beautiful flowers, and the Jazzmen brass band provided the ceremony music plus led everyone on a Second Line around the block after the ceremony.  Back at Board of Trade for the reception, Groovy 7 was on hand for the entertainment, and did an incredible job as usual, while Pigéon Catering provided the great food.  The delicious cake was supplied by Royal Cakery, and Poof Gourmet Cotton Candy was there as well.  And as if that was not enough for one night, there was also a mesmerizing fire dancing performance out in the courtyard, and a wonderful sparkler exit at the end of the night.

Emily & Scott’s Wedding at St. Charles Presbyterian & Board of Trade – 7/31/10

Back when they first booked me last year, this DC couple gave me perhaps the biggest compliment a photographer can get, by scheduling the date of their wedding based on my availability!

This spectacular and fun-filled wedding was coordinated by Unique Weddings in New OrleansBee’s Flower Shop did the absolutely gorgeous bouquets and decorations.

We began the day with Emily and Scott having a joyous “first look” in the courtyard of the Ritz-Carlton.

The couple designated a good chunk of time for us to cruise around the French Quarter with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to do some fun shots.

The ceremony took place at St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian.  Unfortunately, this church is very restrictive with regards to photography, though I did get some beautiful shots from the balcony.

After the ceremony, Emily & Scott’s transportation was a beautifully-restored classic Bel Air provided by a family member… this car looked brand new!  Scott had a little trouble getting the temperamental engine started, and a group of guys jokingly took up position behind the car to push if needed, but Scott’s persistence prevailed and off they went!

The reception venue was the Board of Trade on Magazine St. downtown.  Groovy 7 was on hand for the entertainment, and did a phenomenal job as usual.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for something quite unique… a small cheesecake (complete with cake pulls!) for them, with little cheesecake cubes in various flavors for the guests.

At the end of the night, the Algiers Brass Band led the crowd on a Second Line to the Quarter!

St. John the Baptist Church & Board of Trade New Orleans Wedding – Erikka & Kris – 5/26/07

After the ceremony at the beautiful St. John the Baptist church, we headed over to the elegant Board of Trade in downtown New Orleans for the reception. There, this New York couple put on the most incredible and precisely choreographed first dance I’ve ever seen! The Distractions, a talented band with an awesome horn section, provided the entertainment, and the event was beautifully coordinated by Michele Adams of Unique Weddings in New Orleans.
