Immaculate Conception & Federal Ballroom Wedding – Myriam & Danny – 1/23/10

Myriam and Danny’s ceremony took place at the gorgeous Immaculate Conception Church on Baronne St. in downtown New Orleans, and the priest who married them also had married Danny’s parents 37 years ago!  Afterwards, the bride and groom’s limo was escorted by a fleet of Shriners on motorcycles around the block to the Federal Ballroom in the Security Center on Carondelet for the reception.

There, the fabulous Topcats provided the entertainment.  Buzzy (the band’s guitarist) was playing a beautiful custom made New Orleans Saints guitar that was just plain awesome and was undoubtedly the envy of any New Orleans musician who saw it, especially in light of the team’s incredible victory over the Vikings the following day.  Near the end of the reception, a friend of the couple sat in with the band and sang I Will Survive, and did a fantastic job!
