Christin & Ben’s Wedding – Holy Trinity Church & Silver Lake Ballroom, Shreveport – 6/21/08

For Christin & Ben’s wedding, I traveled to beautiful north Louisiana… the church was gorgeous, and the coordinator, Dottie, was very friendly and helpful.






The reception was at the nearby Silver Lake Ballroom.




A talented blues trio, The Bluebirds, entertained with a good mix of dance tunes and music that was just plain fun to listen to.


Ben’s cake was in the form of a guitar, as he is a guitar player. Bluebirds guitarist Jimmy handed off his Telecaster to Ben, who played a blues tune with the band, and later, Christin’s brother sat in with the band on drums.



When Ben tossed the garter, the ring bearer was swiftly thrust up by his dad so that he could snatch the garter out of the air… a truly spectacular catch!

Congratulations Christin and Ben!

As mother of the bride, I can only say that you did a spectacular job photographing before, during, and after the wedding! Not only did you beautifully photograph the traditional shots that every mother wants, but you also captured many treasured candid shots of family and friends that joined us for this blessed event. You were wonderful to work with and were very accommodating to everyone’s request for their ‘special picture’ (and there were lots of them!).
