My first wedding of the new year was Leah and Jonathan’s, at the Fine Arts Center in uptown New Orleans. This couple delightfully shunned some of the standard wedding conventions. For instance, instead of a wedding cake, they had delicious cupcakes, and rather than stuffy dress shoes, the bride and groom and bridal party wore coordinated shoes custom-designed for the wedding. Swingaroux, an incredible jazz band of extraordinarily talented New Orleans musicians, provided the entertainment, and the event was coordinated by Shannon Able of Pizazz Planning.
