This Texas couple’s wedding day began at La Provincial Hotel, where they had their “first look” in the courtyard, followed by some shots in the French Quarter with the wedding party. We then headed over to the Elms Mansion, where Rev. John Zimmer officiated the ceremony, and After 8 rocked the reception!
I had a great time working with Erin and Sanjeev for their engagement portrait earlier this year, and their wedding was truly a spectacular event! First was an exquisite Hindu ceremony at Nirvana Restaurant on Magazine Street. Then later in the evening, a Catholic ceremony was held at beautiful Holy Name of Jesus Church, after which we headed to Gallier Hall for the reception, where Bobby J & Stuff Like That Band entertained, with Andrea Patton coordinating the event. And I owe a big “thank you” to Erin’s sister Amy for standing in line to grab me a plate of jambalaya so that I could keep shooting uninterrupted!
Lauren and Chris’s wedding took place on a beautiful evening at Southern Oaks Plantation, with the ceremony being capped off with a wonderful fireworks show. Southern Fete coordinated the event, while the Dyle Films crew were on hand, and both were a pleasure to work with. Harvey Jesus & Fire did a fabulous job entertaining, keeping the dance floor packed all night. At the end of the night, as I was packing my gear in the car, I heard a bit of a commotion in the pool area… grabbing my camera and running, I made it there just in time to shoot Chris in the pool, pulling his bride in for a little swim!
