Back when they first booked me last year, this DC couple gave me perhaps the biggest compliment a photographer can get, by scheduling the date of their wedding based on my availability!
This spectacular and fun-filled wedding was coordinated by Unique Weddings in New Orleans. Bee’s Flower Shop did the absolutely gorgeous bouquets and decorations.

We began the day with Emily and Scott having a joyous “first look” in the courtyard of the Ritz-Carlton.

The couple designated a good chunk of time for us to cruise around the French Quarter with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to do some fun shots.

The ceremony took place at St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian. Unfortunately, this church is very restrictive with regards to photography, though I did get some beautiful shots from the balcony.

After the ceremony, Emily & Scott’s transportation was a beautifully-restored classic Bel Air provided by a family member… this car looked brand new! Scott had a little trouble getting the temperamental engine started, and a group of guys jokingly took up position behind the car to push if needed, but Scott’s persistence prevailed and off they went!

The reception venue was the Board of Trade on Magazine St. downtown. Groovy 7 was on hand for the entertainment, and did a phenomenal job as usual.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for something quite unique… a small cheesecake (complete with cake pulls!) for them, with little cheesecake cubes in various flavors for the guests.

At the end of the night, the Algiers Brass Band led the crowd on a Second Line to the Quarter!
