This weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to beautiful Minnesota to photograph Alex and Chris’s wedding at the Bug Bee Hive Resort, a few hours’ drive from Minneapolis. We started the weekend with a BBQ on Friday evening. The couple built a wood structure on which guests could attach signs decorated with details of where they had traveled from and how far, with the arrows pointing in that general direction… a really neat idea!

The wedding took place Saturday afternoon, on the shore of Lake Koronis. It was very windy, but everything went perfectly.

The flower girl (and her human attendant)!

Another great idea that Alex and Chris had was how they presented dinner. Each food station represented a geographical area of the world that was particularly important to them, with food associated from that region, and a card describing their relation to the area. In addition to the food being great, it was also fun to read these stories.
