Jackson Square & The Foundry Wedding, New Orleans – Amy & Ben – 11/15/08

Amy & Ben’s ceremony took place on a beautiful but a bit chilly afternoon in Jackson Square in front of St. Louis Cathedral… waiting for the ceremony to begin, the bridesmaids huddled together to try and stay warm! But once the beautiful ceremony was underway, everyone seemed to forget about the cold. Officiating was Judge Mary Norman, otherwise known as “the Love Judge”.

After the ceremony, the Big Easy Brass Band led everyone through a thrilling second line parade through the French Quarter.

Then it was on to The Foundry in the warehouse district for the reception. This is a fantastic venue, with lots of space and a distinct New Orleans charm. No Idea provided the entertainment, and did a great job of course.

At the end of the night, the couple was given a sparkler send-off, departing in a horse-drawn carriage.

The wedding was flawlessly designed and coordinated by Unique Weddings in New Orleans.

Rose Garden Wedding – Corin & Cody – 11/8/08

Corin & Cody’s ceremony and reception were held at The Rose Garden, an elegant venue in Elmwood.  One of the great things about weddings this time of year is that venues are often decorated for Christmas!  Seabrook provided the reception entertainment, though the Rose Garden’s DJ spun some tunes as well when the band was on break, and both did a fabulous job.

Haydel’s did the cakes, including a really neat looking “crawfish boil” groom’s cake that got a lot of attention from the guests!

Monica & Mario’s Wedding at The Elms Mansion, New Orleans – 11/8/08

It was nice to be shooting at the beautiful Elms Mansion two weekends in a row! Monica & Mario were wed during a mid-day outdoor ceremony on this gorgeous Fall day, with Rev. John Zimmer officiating. Dr. Jazz provided the ceremony music, and the reception entertainment as well.
