DWF Las Vegas

Leaving Los Angeles, I travelled straight to Las Vegas for the WPPI and DWF (Digital Wedding Forum) conventions. The DWF convention was a fantastic learning experience, with seminars given by eminent photographers such as Yervant, Paul Gero, Ray Prevost, Parker Pfister, and Joe Buissink. The highlight of the convention was a trip out to a dry lake bed to watch a couple of masters at work, John Michael Cooper and David Beckstead.

Medical Conference, Los Angeles

Though admittedly not quite as fun as weddings, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this 3-day international medical education conference in Los Angeles for the past several years. I get the opportunity to work with some great people, including a number of wonderful doctors devoted to advancing the care of people suffering from diabetes. Each year, actor Edward James Olmos presents the Edward James Olmos Award for Advocacy in Amputation Prevention.

Megan & Teddy – 3/17/07 – Sacred Heart & New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans

After the wedding ceremony at Sacred Heart, we headed over to the New Orleans Museum of Art for the reception, a very elegant venue indeed. Burgundy provided the entertainment, and the unforgettable night was capped off by guests showering the couple with rose petals as they departed.
